About the opportunity

IC Recruiting is looking for two experienced Massage Therapists / Spa Therapists to join an established premium beauty and wellness concept in central Sofia.

Our client combines professional beauty, massage and wellness treatments in a modern, client-focused environment. The centre provides facial and body treatments, massage therapies and manual techniques, working with established international professional beauty and wellness brands.

This is a long-term opportunity for therapists who take their profession seriously and understand that a premium treatment is about more than massage technique. Client care, attention to detail, hygiene and creating a comfortable experience are equally important.

Your role

As a Massage Therapist, you will work directly with the centre's clients, providing professional massage and body treatments tailored to their individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing professional massage and manual body treatments

  • Consulting with clients before treatment to understand their needs, preferences and areas of concern

  • Selecting and adapting appropriate massage techniques, pressure and treatment approach

  • Providing a high standard of client care throughout the treatment

  • Preparing the treatment room before each appointment

  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and sanitation standards

  • Following the centre's treatment protocols and professional standards

  • Using professional massage oils, products and equipment correctly

  • Maintaining appropriate client records where required

  • Working closely with beauty therapists and other members of the wellness team

  • Participating in training for the centre's treatments, products and service standards

  • Helping create a welcoming environment that encourages clients to return

What we are looking for

We are interested in therapists with professional training and practical experience in one or more massage disciplines.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Classical or Swedish massage

  • Relaxation massage

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Therapeutic massage

  • Sports massage

  • Myofascial techniques

  • Lymphatic drainage

  • Manual body treatments

  • Other recognised professional massage techniques

You do not need to specialise in every technique listed above. We are interested in understanding what you do particularly well.

Candidate profile

You should have:

  • Professional massage therapy training, qualification or relevant certification

  • Previous hands-on experience working with clients

  • Good knowledge of massage techniques and body anatomy

  • A professional and respectful approach to clients

  • Excellent personal hygiene and presentation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adapt treatments to individual client requirements

  • Reliability and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in the beauty and wellness sector

Previous experience in a professional spa, beauty centre, wellness centre, physiotherapy environment, luxury hotel or resort would be an advantage.

International candidates already in Bulgaria

We particularly welcome applications from experienced international massage therapists currently living in Sofia or elsewhere in Bulgaria.

You do not need to be Bulgarian. English-speaking candidates are welcome to apply. Bulgarian language skills are an advantage but are not necessarily required for the right candidate.

Candidates should provide information regarding their current residence and right-to-work status in Bulgaria as part of the recruitment process.
